Brandie lived in Johnson County her whole life. She was born into a commercial fishing family and has fished since before she could walk. Once she got older, She traveled all over the United States, mostly the southern U.S and has caught many species. But there is nothing like home waters, where she hopes to one day catch the state record Blue cat.

Behind my family fishing is my passion for the last 20 plus years. Although I'm not very good nor do I have the lingo down of what everything is or means when it comes to fishing and gear I LOVE IT. One thing meds have not been able to help when it comes to stress or depression I have found fishing does help. I am a Mom of 4, Mimi to 9 and have raised 3 of my grands. One I still have and he is special needs. Sometimes you need an out and I have found fishing does that for me. I'm not fancy nor do I have fancy stuff but I get out there and enjoy it. Whether I'm catching or not this gives me peace for a small part of my busy life.

I think this a great opportunity to be one of the many faces of Happy Katz because of how much of a novice I really am. Most companies want professionals who target other professionals in their field. This give the less known even unknown people their chance to show that they too can use this product and be successful with their fishing hobby or even those new to fishing. I am learning so much from this how to use my rigs and what works or doesn't. I am just a simple wife, Mom and Mimi with no big title on my name. If I can do it I know you can too. I love Happy Katz products because the products work, they listen to others and don't pretend to know it all but more than that they gave a simple girl a chance with their livelihood and that means a lot!
